That’s okay! Prior to the competition, we will release tutorials on the various design and analysis software that we will use for the competition.

Individual registration will be required for TimberFever. We will mix students into teams at the start of the competition to encourage students to collaborate and make new friends.

Software required for the competition are free or have free trials that can be used for the competition. You will be provided tutorials on using the software required for the competition (including but not limited to Rhino, RStab, Slack, and Zoom). It is your responsibility to have access to internet and software requirements to run the software.

Now you wait! Our Chairs will be reviewing applications once applications have closed. Once a decision has been made on your application, you will receive an acceptance email that will outline the next steps. This can be expected in mid to late August 2021.

We will reach out to you with tutorials for the competition and how to set up the programs and software you need to participate.

Please send us an email at admin@timberfever.com and we will remove your application from our system. Please note that once your application is withdrawn, we cannot re-enter you into the competition this year because your potential spot will be given to someone else.

You will work in teams of approximately 5 students in a mix of architecture and engineering programs across Canada and the US.

Thank you for your interest! We accept new sponsors year-round. Please email finance@timberfever.com so we can send you our sponsorship information booklet. If someone in your organization is already a judge or mentor in our competition, please be sure to mention this in your email.

Thank you for your interest! Please email admin@timberfever.com with your qualifications. Tell us why you’re interested in volunteering your time as a mentor or judge, and why you believe you would be a good fit for our competition.

If you are selected we will need the following in order to feature you on our website:

  • Name
  • Job Title
  • Company Name & URL
  • Headshot

Yes! You will receive first-hand mentorship from industry professionals throughout the design process. Some of our past TimberFever participants have even gone on to work for the architecture and engineering companies who have been involved in the competition.
